MODELING OF CYCLIC OXIDATION KINETIC FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE ALLOYS BASED ON BUCKLING SPALLATION OF OXIDE SCALE

Abstract  The buckling spallation behavior of the cyclic oxidation scales for high temperature alloys has been described as a strut rest ing on elastic foundation under critical stability.According to the buckling pro pagation analysis using finite elements method,the model of cyclic oxidation ki netic has been developed.The calculation results for Fe-Ni-Cr-Al alloys are cons istent with the experimental results,indicating the validity and suitability of the model.
