The corrosion ability of hydrophobic TiO2 film in seawater

Abstract  TiO2 thin film can be photo-induced super- hydrophilic and reverse to be hydrophobic after stored in the darkness for several weeks. A nano-TiO2 thin film was formed on pure titanium by thermal oxidation method .The component and microstructure of the TiO2 thin film was characterized by XRD and SEM methods.The relationship between the seawater corrosion and the hydrophobic properties of the TiO2 thin film was studied by EIS.
