INTRODUCTION
Aim and scope
Journal of Chinese
Society for Corrosion and Protection is an academic
journal sponsored by the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection and the
Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a core Chinese
Journal with a high academic impact. It publishes original research papers and comprehensive reviews in the field of corrosion and protection. The scope
of this journal covers a broad spectrum of corrosion and protection, including
corrosion electrochemistry, high-temperature oxidation, passivity, anodic
oxidation, biochemical corrosion, inhibitor, stress corrosion cracking,
environment corrosion, mechanisms, and methods of corrosion control. The
journal publishes on a bi-monthly basis (specifically on the 20th day of the second month).

papers:
original and unpublished research work
· Review
articles: a critical assessment of the research data that is already available, or topics
related to an emerging research area or issues of public concern.

Article
structure
Content and
manuscript length
The submission
requires clear arguments, reliable data, clear structure, concise text, and
confidentiality (proof of confidentiality is required). The research paper
should not exceed 6000 words, and the comprehensive review should not exceed
15000 words.
Headings and
sub-headings:
The headings and
subheadings in the manuscript should not exceed four levels and should be
numbered consecutively as 1, 2, 3 … , 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 … , 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3 …
etc. (the abstract and introduction are not included in section numbering). Each heading should appear on a
separate line.
Introduction: State
the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a
detailed literature review or a summary of the results.
Material
and methods: Provide sufficient
details to allow the work to be reproduced by an independent researcher.
Methods that are already published should be summarized, and indicated by a reference.
Results
and discussion: Results should be clear and concise. The significance of
the work should be discussed in this section. Avoid extensive citations and
discussion of published literature.
Conclusions: The main
conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which
may stand alone or form a subsection of a Results and Discussion section.
Title
page information
· Title: The title
of the paper should be concise and accurate, and abbreviations should not be
used.
· Author names
and affiliations: Please clearly indicate the given name(s)
and family name(s) of each author and check that all names are correctly spelt.
In principle, the names of authors should not be more than 6. The authors'
affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) should be presented
below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a superscript number immediately
after the author's name (e.g. XYZ1) and in front of the appropriate
address (e.g. 1Institute of XXX). Provide the full postal address of
each affiliation.
· Biography: Please
provide the profile of the first author (name, birth year, gender, professional
title, degree, research direction). Please
refer to the recent publication for more details.
· Corresponding
author: Clearly
indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages. Provide the name and e-mail address of the
corresponding author.
Abstract
The content of the
abstract should be concise and factual. The abstract should briefly state the
purpose of the research, methods and main results, and conclusion. References
should not be included in the abstract. The length of the abstract in Chinese
should be between 150 to 250 characters, and the English abstract should be
between 200 to 500 words.
Keywords
Immediately after the
abstract, please provide 3 to 8 keywords. The key words of the paper should not contain
any words already in the title but can include abbreviated terms or location
information not suitable for the title.
Note: The abstract and keywords should be provided
in both Chinese and English.
Abbreviations
Please clearly define
non-standard abbreviations that are not standard in a footnote to be placed on
the first page of the article. Also, abbreviations that are unavoidable in the
abstract must be defined at their first mention there, as well as in the
footnote. Ensure consistency of abbreviations throughout the article.
Funding sources
Papers with funding
should indicate the project name and grant number.
Symbols and Units
The quantities, units
and symbols in the text should be written according to the national standard
GB3100-3102-93. Attention should be paid to the correct writing of foreign
letters which may be confusing in terms of the language type, capitalization
(lower and upper cases), italics, superscripts and subscripts. All symbols of
physical quantities should be written in italics, while units and prefixes
should be in orthography. In the figure, the names
and units of physical quantities should be separated by a slash symbol (/),
such as p / kPa, t / ℃.
Figures and Tables
The titles of figures
and tables in the text should be written in both Chinese and English, while the
contents of the figures and tables are expressed in English. The
table should be in the form of a three-line table, and the line drawings should
be created with Origin software (the curve should be black). The width of the graph
(including the numbers and coordinate title) should not exceed 7.4 cm. For
specific format and style of figures and tables, please refer to the recent
publication of the Journal of Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection.
Referencing
References should be
listed at the end of the text in the order in which they appear in the text.
Chinese references should be recorded in both Chinese and English. For specific format, please refer to the
recent publication of the Journal of Chinese Society for Corrosion and

SUBMISSION AGREEMENT
(1)
The submitted manuscript must not have been
previously published or is under consideration for publication in another
Journal, whether it be in Chinese or another language. It
is strictly prohibited to submit more than one manuscript with repeated content
or in different languages. In case of any of the above conditions, the
manuscript will be rejected and the author's affiliations and relevant journals
will be notified. In addition, the author's manuscript will not be accepted in
the future.
(2)
The authors shall be notified of the results
of the manuscript review within three months.
During this period, the author shall not submit the manuscript
elsewhere. However, if the author decides to submit the manuscript to another
journal or withdraw it, the editorial department should be notified before the
process. The editorial department will inform the author of the decision to
accept the manuscript in time.
(3)
During the process of manuscript revision, if
the time limit for manuscript revision exceeds 30 days, the editorial
department will take the date when the author returns the revised manuscript as
the submission date. After 30 days, the editorial department has the right to
reject the manuscript.
(4)
The editorial department has the right to
make technical and textual changes to the manuscript and may make substantive
changes with the consent of the author.
(5)
After the paper is published, the author must
sign the copyright transfer statement, and the copyright belongs to the
editorial department (including the copyright on the Internet). According to
the Interim Measures for Charging of Publication Fees for National Sci-tech
Journals, our Article processing charge (APC) for domestic authors is 2000
RMB/6 pages, with an increment of 300 RMB/page.
ONLINE
SUBMISSION
Please
log in to the journal's website at www.jcscp.org and
submit your articles online through the remote system. When submitting
articles, authors must fill in all the information needed on the system
accurately and in detail. If you encounter any problems during the submission
process, please contact the editorial department in time. You will receive an
E-mail notification upon successful submission.
EDITORIAL
PROCESS
(1) Receipt: The
Editor receives the manuscript, assigns a number to it, and sends the
manuscript number information by E-mail.
(2) Preliminary
review: The editor shall conduct a preliminary review
of the manuscript.
(3) Re-examination: The
manuscript is sent for external review after passing the preliminary review or
is outrightly rejected.
(4) External
review: The manuscript is sent to experts for external review.
(5) Re-examination: The
editorial department and the final review experts would give the final results
alongside the external review comments, and either return the manuscript for
revision or reject the manuscript.
(6) Return for
revision: After
the revised draft is returned by the author, please wait for typesetting. If
the revised manuscript is not returned on time, the editorial department has
the right to reject the manuscript at its discretion
(7) Editing
and processing: Editing and proofreading of the accepted manuscripts
(including proofreading by authors).
(8) Final
review: The final expert will conduct a comprehensive review of the manuscript.
(9) Publishing: Typesetting by the editorial department, proofreading by the author(s),
printing, publishing, sending databases, and sending sample journal.
