SURFACE MODIFICATION OF AMORPHOUS Fe-W ALLOY DEPOSIT BY 8-HYDROXYQUINOLINE AND ITS CORROSION RESISTANCE

Abstract  Modification of amorphous Fe-W alloy deposit by 8-H Q using electrochemical method and its corrosion resistance were researched in t his paper.A film was formed on the surface of amorphous Fe-W alloy deposit after anodic oxidation in sodium borate solution containing 8-HQ,but its corrosion re sistance was poor.A stable chromatic passive film could be obtained after diamin e being added into the above solution,and passivation in a chromate system could improve the corrosion resistance of Fe-W alloy in NaCl solution.Polarization cu rves showed that the film could block the cathodic and anodic reaction.
