Abstract Nano-titanium fluorinated polyaryletherketone copolymer was prepared from nano-titanium precursor oligomer and nano-alumina modified fluorine-containing polyaryletherketone polymer. This material was used to prepare nano-titanium polymer alloy coating to protect the metal from corrosion. The microstructures of nano-titanium precursor oligomer and nano-titanium fluorinated polyaryletherketone copolymer were characterized by transmission electron microscope(TEM) and infrared spectrometer(IR). Moreover, the anti-corrosion capabilities of the alloy coating were examined under severe environmental conditions. The results show that the pipe with the alloy coating can work well in simulated oil and gas environment for long time, which proves that such an alloy coating is really a good anti-corrosion coating.
